Shannon has over 15 years of experience working with children and adults with special needs and their families. Seven years of working in the public schools has given her a strong knowledge base for working collaboratively with families and school districts.

Shannon has provided consultation and training for a variety of school districts and at state and local conferences. She has taught classes on topics such as positive behavior supports, components of a preschool classroom for children with Autism, classroom strategies for children with Asperger’s Syndrome, Applied Behavior Analysis/Discrete Trail Training, Social Stories and narratives, Autism 101, sensory integration strategies in the classroom, and using the Picture Exchange Communication Exchanges System (PECS) in the schools.
